Deauville Marathon 2026: every workout on your Garmin until November 15
Race day is Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 10 a.m.; a 12-week plan would have started on Monday, August 24. With less than three weeks to go, Running Workout connects your Garmin to your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT…) in two minutes: it prepares your last workouts up to race day (marathon pace, taper, race-day workout), sends them to your watch, then analyzes your race.

From Rue de la Mer to the Planches, 371 ft of climbing
The marathon starts at 10 a.m. on Rue de la Mer in Deauville, runs through Tourgéville, Benerville and Saint-Arnoult, and comes back to finish on the Planches, Deauville's seafront boardwalk. The organizer lists 113 m (371 ft) of total climb and as much descent, aid stations roughly every 5 km (3 miles), and pacers from 3:00 to 4:30 in 15-minute steps.
The rules posted on the official site, those of the 2025 edition, set a 5:30 time limit, with a halfway cutoff at half that time. This is the 7th edition; the race carries the French athletics federation's national label and is a qualifier for the French championships.
Three workouts for the last 18 days
With less than three weeks to go, you're no longer building fitness: you keep marathon pace sharp and arrive fresh. Three workouts suited to Deauville, which your assistant creates and sends to your watch:
- This week: 15 min warm-up, 3 × 2 miles at marathon pace with 3 min of easy jogging between blocks, 10 min cool-down.
- Ten days out: a 1 h 15 min easy run including 20 minutes at marathon pace on a route with some hills, like the 371 ft of climbing on race day.
- Race week: 30 min easy with 4 × 0.6 miles at marathon pace, 90 s recovery, three or four days before Sunday.
Ask for them one at a time: the assistant sets the paces from your MAS (maximal aerobic speed) read from Garmin and puts each workout in your Garmin Connect calendar. The day before, it can also send you a race workout carrying your pace range.
Mid-November, a 10 a.m. start and a bib to collect before Sunday
The race is in mid-November, so your preparation ran from late summer through fall. The 10 a.m. start leaves time to warm up; if you can, run your last marathon-pace workout at that time of day. The one thing not to miss: no bibs are handed out on Sunday. Pickup is at the Palais Omnisport de Deauville, 3 avenue de la République, on Friday, November 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, November 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Missed a week because of work or travel? Tell your assistant: it reads your Garmin activities, reviews the week and reshuffles the remaining workouts without trying to catch up. For the 2027 edition, the full 12-week plan will line up with the date as soon as it's announced.
